To see how much RAM go to your PC, to the Start menu to Settings, then click Control Panel. Click System, then select the tab "General". In the bottom of the page you should see the amount of RAM.

Most games will be the minimum amount of RAM you need to install and play. For example, calls for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban 256 MB. This amount covers the memory of your computer must have its own background of work to do and run the game.

Find what kind of RAM you need
disassemble the computer, press the matter to the mass
Locate the RAM modules that are green with black pipes on the motherboard

RDRAM is (you need both) and a metal housing on one side;

DDR SDRAM is the most popular and RAM seems normal, but is a notch;

SDRAM (the endangered) has two notches.

RAM modules can be purchased in large 128 MB, 256 MB and 512 MB

256 is more than enough when you surf the Internet and writingLetters, you need 256 MB to 512 MB

You may need to delete the old games! If not, I'm sorry to say, you need a new computer!

Probably should look to upgrade your video card and RAM. To refresh the memory and graphics card, it is easy for an online tool at www.crucial.com Start - The Commission will review your material and show you what's going to be compatible.
