Can I use the RC transmitter/receiver from toy to run bigger motors? - toy blimp

Science Club at my school wants to build a giant blimp RC to about 15 meters, but you do not want to spend too much on the remote control. Is it possible, material from an RC toy extract and add it to the larger engines that power the airship? If so, we must speed controllers for different or we could use the built-in toys? Thank you.
